Master of Surgery Workshop

The Sydney University Master of Surgery Workshop recently took place from Thursday, 26th May to Saturday, 28th May 2022.

The RNSH Master of Surgery Skills workshop was facilitated by a range of consultant surgeons, fellows and registrars and was coordinated by Associate Professor Anthony Glover. The workshop took place at the Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre in the Kolling building as part of the Surgical Skills SURG5031 Master Surgery subject.

Participants included junior doctors and senior medical students who travelled locally and from afar such as Townsville and Adelaide.

The workshop gave junior doctors a chance to receive one-on-one training from surgeons and gain an insight in to what a what a major teaching hospital like RNSH has to offer.  All participants gave glowing feedback about the skill and enthusiasm of the surgical facilitators, and they particularly enjoyed the various operative tips and tricks offered by the tutors in the stress-free environment of the skills labs.
