Winner of the Outstanding Cancer Research Fellow – Early Career Fellow | Cancer Institute NSW

Associate Professor Anthony Glover, an endocrine and general surgeon of Royal North Shore Hospital, has been named winner of the 2022 Premier’s Awards for Outstanding Cancer Research Fellow – Early Career Fellow. The Outstanding Cancer Research Fellow Awards are presented to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional research progress over the previous year.

The award was presented to A/Prof Glover in recognition of his leading role in The Endocrine Research Program based at the Garvan Institute. The program seeks to use genomics to improve understanding of thyroid and adrenal cancers. Any notable discoveries made during lab and clinic based projects will be translated into the development of new treatment pathways for patients with high-risk endocrine cancers.

This award from the Cancer Institute NSW is an tremendous acknowledgement of A/ Prof Glover’s positive contribution to cancer research.
