Kris graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1992. He continued his postgraduate training in Surgery and Urology and received his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2002. He went on to a research fellowship in prostate cancer at the Garvan Institute and received his PhD from the University of NSW in 2006. Kris completed his subspecialist training in surgery for cancers of the urinary tract with a clinical fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge in 2004 and 2005. He has been the recipient of a number of research scholarships including a National Health and Medical Research Council Postgraduate Medical (NH&MRC) Scholarship, a Cancer Institute of NSW Clinical Research scholarship and a Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Surgeon-Scientist Scholarship. In addition to his ongoing involvement in clinical and basic science research, Kris has an ongoing role in undergraduate teaching at the University of Sydney and the Northern Clinical School.
