Overview of Service
The Burns, Plastics, and Reconstructive Surgery Department at Royal North Shore Hospital is an internationally recognised centre for the treatment of burn injuries, complex wounds, and reconstructive surgery. Royal North Shore Hospital is part of the NSW Severe Burns Injury Service and one of only two referral centres in NSW for severe burns in adults. It provides a range of surgical options, including skin grafts and advanced reconstructive procedures to restore both function and appearance.

Head of Department
Dr Gillies has a specific interest in reconstruction following skin cancer, lower limb reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction and the management of severe burns and trauma.

Dr Bish Soliman is a Sydney based Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in complex microsurgical reconstruction including breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body as well as skin cancer surgery.

Dr Cha has special interests in hand surgery, lower limb salvage, reconstructive surgery and microsurgery.
