Guidelines on the “Preoperative Diagnostic Workup for COVID-19” is now available on the RACS website (1). This rapid review aims to evaluate the literature surrounding the clinical, laboratory and radiological methods that can contribute towards the diagnosis of SARS-Cov-2 —for the purpose of producing evidence-based guidance for surgeons in Australia and New Zealand.
In addition to this, a group of expert surgeons, using a rapid review methodology, have developed recommendations for surgical safety in the current environment (2).
