The Breast Surgery Department at Royal North Shore Hospital provides comprehensive care and reconstructive surgery for patients diagnosed with breast cancer. It is a high-risk patient referral centre focused on delivering individual and personalised care through a multidisciplinary approach. Underpinning this work is a collaborative network supporting clinical research to improve patient outcomes.

Dr Katrina Moore is a breast surgeon with a passion for breast cancer screening and multidisciplinary care.

MD, FRACS
Prof Andrew Spillane has a special interest in the surgical management of breast cancer, melanoma and soft tissue tumours such as sarcoma. Includes sentinel lymph node biopsy, regional lymph node dissection, breast reconstruction and oncoplastic breast surgery techniques.

Dr Samriti Sood is general surgeon who sub-specialises in breast surgical oncology, utilising oncoplastic techniques and offering women reconstructive surgery. She also offers treatment for a variety of general surgical conditions including abdominal and inguinoscrotal herniae, skin and subcutaneous lesions, and acute general surgery.
