The Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) Surgical Research Activity Report [Download] is a SERT institute initiative to highlight the volume of research conducted and published across the RNSH Departments of Surgery over a three-year period 2018-2020.
This demonstrates the commitment, motivation and drive that surgeons have for improving surgical outcomes and patient care through evidence and scientific-based research. It also demonstrates their passion for cultivating and growing surgical trainee involvement in research in a dynamic and ever-changing healthcare environment.
As Director of the SERT Institute and the Chair of Surgery at the Northern Clinical School, I am honoured to be able to recognise the achievements of my surgical colleagues, and to document the research efforts of so many emerging and established leaders in their respective fields.
The SERT Institute is committed to establishing and maintaining the RNSH surgical research publications database, a progressive document that will be continually and regularly updated.
My thanks and appreciation to the individuals behind this project including the surgical Heads of Department, the SERT Institute team and the SERT Institute Academic Leads.
