Commonwealth Coronavirus Elective Surgery Surveillance Program

RNSH is one of the hospitals which will be participating in the Commonwealth Coronavirus Elective Surgery Surveillance Program (1,2). All adult (>18yo) patients, having an elective procedure under general anaesthesia will be asked to participate. The study involves the collection of nasal swabs and blood samples which will be tested for current or past COVID-19 infection.
